FABRICATION GENERALIST

Essential Job Function/ Skills/ Responsibilities:

• Performs fabrication and support in the manufacture of products on both rad and non-rad materials and equipment as required, perform mechanical and physical tasks as required in performing maintenance/support of equipment/facilities.

• Provides fabrication support as needed in the other job classifications as per workload.

• Performs water treatment, laundry, chip burning, waste packaging, and general housekeeping duties in Radiological areas, will be required to work with hand tools such as wrenches, saws, and grinders along with fabrication equipment such as shears, presses, large bandsaws, roll levelers, annealing furnaces, etc.

• Performs equipment/ facility maintenance repairs and upkeep as required.

• Prepares and packages waste and product for shipment to the customer.

• Works under direct supervision.

• Works on one part of a task.

• Other duties as assigned.

Physical Job Demands:

• Sitting -  10%

• Standing - 75%

• Walking - 10%

• Other Duties - 5% (Bending, Stooping, Squatting Reaching, Pushing, Pulling Lifting <50 lbs. without assistance)

Minimum Required Education & Experience:

• High School diploma or GED

• Minimum of 2 years prior experience in a fabrication environment 

• Ability to read and understand RWP and JHA work requirements

 

Preferred Experience:

• Prior experience in a Radiation environment

• Prior forklift experience or certification
