Mechanical Engineer Intern

Manufacturing Sciences Corporation (MSC) is a Specialty Metal Manufacturer with the ability to process & manufacture technology metals in an Environmentally Sound, Safe and Controlled location.  We have over 35 years of experience with depleted Uranium.  We are the only commercial organization in the world with the capability to cast, roll, and machine products from depleted Uranium.   MSC  values its employees and the skills our employees bring to the table.  We are in search of individuals who want to be part of the action, helping to achieve our goals and growth for the company and for the employees.

MSC seeks a ME Intern to document our Main building’s ventilation system and map it to the fan system.  We believe the task will take approximately six weeks at 40 hours per week.  It is a non-benefitted position.

 

Essential Job Functions:

• Locate vents and trace fixtures that make up the ventilation system

• Take digital photographs

• Use Solidworks to document location

• Other duties as assigned

Our environment is both an office setting and a manufacturing floor setting, with the manufacturing floor a radiation environment.  The candidate must be able to navigate both environments to document the ventilation systems by walking, standing, looking up, and utilizing visual inspection. Safety training and proper personal protective equipment will be provided as necessary.

Minimum Required Education & Experience:

• In pursuit of a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or other Engineering Degree

• Computer literate, MS Office: Word, Excel, and Outlook

• Proficient with Solidworks
